Police Force’s Role in the Decisive Victory Against Naxalism Is Historic
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that for many years, Naxalism had hindered the pace of development in Bastar despite its natural beauty, rich mineral resources, and vibrant tribal culture. Today, Bastar has entered a new era of development, trust, and transformation. He credited this change to the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the firm strategy of Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah, and the unmatched courage of the state police and security forces.
He said that the fight against Naxalism was a mission to protect democracy, development, and humanity. Brave police personnel carried out operations in difficult forest terrain without concern for their own lives and played a crucial role in making the state free from fear. He added that this victory would remain an inspiring chapter for future generations.
Sharing his experiences, the Chief Minister said he had met police personnel injured during anti-Naxal operations in hospitals on several occasions. Despite suffering serious injuries, they displayed unwavering determination rather than despair and expressed their resolve to return to duty after recovery to continue the fight against Naxalism. Shri Sai said this indomitable spirit has become Chhattisgarh’s greatest strength and has enabled the state to achieve decisive success in moving towards freedom from the menace of Naxalism.
