Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai promotes road safety, releases ‘Unnayan’ booklet
Volleyball kits distributed to encourage youth participation in sports
Raipur, Community policing and public awareness initiatives received a boost during a Samadhan Camp held under Sushasan Tihar in Badekanera Gram Panchayat of Kondagaon district. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai reviewed several citizen-centric initiatives of the Police Department aimed at strengthening public safety and awareness.
Chief Minister leads by example on road safety
To promote road safety, six beneficiaries were distributed helmets during the programme. Chief Minister Shri Sai himself wore a helmet and urged people to follow traffic rules and always wear helmets while riding two-wheelers. He said helmets are not just safety gear but an essential shield that protects lives.
‘Unnayan’ booklet released
The Chief Minister also released the ‘Unnayan’ booklet prepared by Kondagaon Police. The publication highlights community policing initiatives, public awareness campaigns, rehabilitation activities and various welfare programmes undertaken by the department. Shri Sai said such innovations help strengthen trust and communication between the police and the public.
Sports as a positive force for youth
As part of community policing efforts, volleyball kits were distributed to encourage youth participation in sports and channel their energy towards positive activities. The Chief Minister said sports help develop discipline, leadership, self-confidence and team spirit among young people.
He reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to keeping youth away from substance abuse and negative influences by promoting sports, education and constructive engagement. He said community policing initiatives play a vital role in creating a positive social environment while contributing to the overall development of young people.
The programme underscored the importance of collective efforts by the government, administration and society in building a safe, aware and empowered community.
