Emotional Moments During Sushasan Tihar as Children and Parents Express Gratitude for Free Lifesaving Treatment

A Lifeline for Economically Weaker Families: Chirayu Scheme Brings Hope, Healing and New Beginnings

Raipur, May 22, 2026/ An emotional and inspiring moment unfolded today at Gram Karhibazar in Baloda Bazar-Bhatapara district during the ongoing Sushasan Tihar celebrations, when children Sameera Jangde and Nitin Patel, beneficiaries of the Chirayu Scheme, met Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai and presented him with heartfelt thank you cards. The children and their family members expressed deep gratitude to the Chief Minister for facilitating free medical treatment, stating that the scheme had brought renewed hope to their families and gifted their children a new lease of life.

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai interacted warmly with both children, enquired about their health and conveyed his best wishes for their bright future. He said that the government’s welfare initiatives are aimed at ensuring that healthcare, education and essential services reach the last person with compassion and sensitivity, so that no family is deprived of medical treatment due to financial constraints.

Encouraging the children to lead healthy and fulfilling lives, Shri Sai also extended words of support and encouragement to their family members.

It may be noted that six-year-old Nitin Patel from Pandariya village and nine-year-old Sameera Jangde from Lachhanpur village in Baloda Bazar development block met the Chief Minister along with their parents and shared the positive transformation in their lives following treatment. Sameera’s father, Shri Jeevan Lal Jangde, recalled that before treatment, Sameera remained extremely weak and would experience breathlessness even while travelling to and from school. Acting on the advice of teachers, the family approached the Chirayu team, which conducted examinations at their home and facilitated the necessary treatment arrangements. Following this, Sameera underwent a successful surgery in Raipur on May 14, 2025.

Similarly, Nitin Patel received treatment in Raipur through the Chirayu Scheme on November 22, 2025. Family members said that treatment which once seemed impossible due to the prospect of expenses running into lakhs of rupees became easily accessible and completely free under the Chirayu Scheme. They described the initiative as nothing short of a life-saving boon for economically weaker families.

Chief Minister’s direct interaction with citizens during Sushasan Tihar, his meetings with beneficiaries of various welfare schemes and efforts to understand the changes these initiatives have brought to people’s lives reflect the government’s sensitivity and commitment towards public welfare.

Revenue Minister Shri Tank Ram Verma, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Shri Subodh Kumar Singh, Special Secretary Shri Rajat Bansal, along with other public representatives and officials, were present on the occasion.
