Major achievement for Chhattisgarh in maternal health and nutrition; secures first place in implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana

Chhattisgarh has achieved a significant milestone in the field of maternal health and nutrition by securing the first position among large states in the country in the implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana.
In this regard, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai said that due to the state government’s commitment towards the health, nutrition and safe motherhood of women in the state, Chhattisgarh has secured the first position in the country among large states in the implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana.
As per information, in the national ranking, Chhattisgarh recorded outstanding performance with 93.37 per cent enrolment, an approval rate of 83.87 per cent, and 93.95 per cent of grievances resolved promptly. This achievement reflects the effective and transparent implementation of the scheme in the state.
Acknowledging the efforts of the entire team of the Women and Child Development Department and the dedicated Anganwadi workers for this success, Shri Sai said that due to their tireless efforts, the benefits of the scheme are reaching lakhs of pregnant women in the state on time, further strengthening maternal and child healthcare services.
“Healthy future for mothers and infants forms the strong foundation of a prosperous Chhattisgarh, and the state government is continuously making efforts to further strengthen programmes related to maternal and child health,” said Shri Sai.
